It would have to be volumetric video capture — aka Volucaps. This captures an environment in a way which can be rendered either in 3D (as with VR) or on a flat surface. It matters because it will eventually become the core technology for future content creation. Accordingly, Volucaps changes how we communicate and enables us to interact with real photorealistic humans who can move around spatial environments.

I believe the most underrated tech innovation right now is innovation in the convergent area of nanotechnology, biotechnology, and information technology.

I am big fan of scrum (agile software development framework) and I like the idea of adopting this agile way of working and deploying it in my private life. For example, I want to work in sprints (two weeks) and focus on a particular goal for every sprint. I also want to reflect on my progress and what I need to do better the next time, just like you would in a sprint retrospective.

The combination of a trained AI model based on millions of datapoints along with a modern chip design allows you to run complex computer vision algorithms to comprehend your environment and enact segmentation in real time! Also things like visual marker-free hand tracking, face tracking and body tracking builds on this tech innovation.
To focus, develop, release. 2022 was an incredibly successful year – but one in which we tried to tackle too many new goals at the same time.
