hubraum announces not one but TWO exciting new programs

Love technological innovation? Then you’re in the right place — we are delighted to announce two programs which will be furthering innovation in two nascent sectors: XR and 5G. Both programs are based in our Berlin campus and both are accepting applications until the end of March: so read on and if you like what you see, don’t delay!

Get ready for the Metaverse with our Snapdragon Spaces Program

On our Snapdragon Spaces Program, we’ll be partnering with tech giants like Qualcomm Technologies and T-Mobile U.S. Accelerator to help startups develop augmented reality apps utilizing the Snapdragon Spaces™ XR Developer Platform. We’re looking for applications from the worlds of Entertainment & Gaming, Social Communication, Education & Training and Fitness, Wellness & Health.

Participants will receive access to telecom and 5G infrastructure, as well as global opportunities to market their idea. They will also receive XR devices and smartphones to test their products and services on; business and technological mentoring; and UX and UI support.

The program will kick off on June 16 and will run for just under four months, culminating in a demo day event on September 28

Sounds like exactly what you’re looking for?  Apply here before April 10 for your chance to score a place on the program.

Take 5G to the next level with our 5G Early Access Program

Our 5G Early Access Program gives participants access to unique technology, allowing them to get a head start on the competition when working on their 5G product or service.

To enable developers, startups, companies and hyperscalers to test their APIs before the public launch of these new capabilities enabled by 5G, Telekom has set up a unique 5G test field in hubraum in Berlin. Application servers connected to Telekom’s 5G standalone network and edge cloud are available for testing. An Internet breakout directly in the test field will also be provided. The first 5G APIs available for testing can be used to configure key 5G network features such as bandwidth and latency, for example, with many more to follow.

We’ll give startups access to workspaces in our Berlin campus as well as active mentoring and assistance with any questions that arise. This month-long program will culminate in startups performing a demo of their product.

We’d be excited to hear from startups working in areas such as moving objects, entertainment, production, AR/VR or IoT — as well as from those with a great 5G idea beyond those categories.
