We are happy to announce today (at the Mobile World Congress) the joint Internet of Things (IoT) accelerator  “Challenge Up!” by Cisco, Deutsche Telekom and Intel  that offers it’s program to early-stage startups from Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The main objective of this program is to help innovative IoT/IoE startups to go-to-market faster through joint projects, mentoring, high-value networking and corporate assets. Selected companies may also receive strategic investments and support commercializing their product or service for global markets.

From Accelerator alumni to partner

KRAKOW: Applications for the 2nd WARP Accelerator open

The first edition of the acceleration program took place in December 2013, over 50 international experts and 52 participants from 10 countries including Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Ukraine participated in the workshops. The main aim of this year’s hub:raum Krakow Warp is to invite the best projects to the innovation hub, to cooperate with Deutsche Telekom and to succeed in international markets thanks to 80,000 euro of seed investment.

Accelerator Alumni Codeship raises 2.6m $

This is a great day for hub:raum Accelerator Alumni Codeship: the Austrian team that offers a Development-as-a-Servive-Platform, announced today, that it has raised $2.6 million in Series A from Sigma Prime Ventures, Boston Seed Capital’s and Devonshire Investors.

Sum-up of the first WARP TURBO Accelerator

Here is the summary of a turbo accelerator backed by hub:raum Krakow that took place in December 2013. 53 participants gained a broader knowledge in the areas of financing, customer acquisition, product management, pitch training and much more – everything powered by hub:raum Krakow.

15 teams from Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania, Greece, Montenegro, Austria, and Ukraine attended the intense workshops organized by hub:raum Krakow this week.

Get ready for hub:raum Krakow WARP - a turbo accelerator for start-ups

hub:raum Krakow organizes a turbo acceleration program for startups and creative individuals who strive to speed-up the development of their ideas. The innovation incubator called the initiative “the Warp[1]” – the name illustrates the power that the initiative gives to young companies across Europe through mentoring, workshops and financial support. An advantage of the accelerator is also covering the costs of flight and accommodation to all participants.

hub:raum Krakow team sets out on a startup journey across Europe

Zagreb, Budapest, Bucharest, Vienna, Sofia, Ljubljana, Prague, Bratislava, Riga, Tallinn, Budva and Vilnius – those are the cities that hub:raum Krakow team will visit during the road trip across Central and Eastern Europe. The innovation incubator backed by Deutsche Telekom will set out on a trip on September, 30th. During the five days of the journey the team will meet local communities, present hub:raum Krakow offer and exchange ideas and knowledge with young entrepreneurs.

Mighty-Office closes first seed round

Startup Mighty-Office, one of the graduates of the hub:raum Accelerator class #1, announces first financing round. Please read the press release below.

Mighty GmbH today announced that a new shareholder - Zurich-based Dennis Rubner - made a seed capital investment in the company. A German/Swiss citizen with extensive executive experience in the telecommunications and media sector, Dennis will also partner with majority investor and founder Alexander de Greiff in developing the company's footprint outside Germany.

Solarbrush at hy!Berlin Competition

Congratulations to hub:raum Accelerator start-up Solarbrush: they were chosen to pitch at hy!Berlin Startup Competition this Saturday in the category 'Hardware'. Solarbrush develops and builds robots for the cleaning of solar generators. It’s an exciting week for Solarbrush: right now they are presenting at the 'World Future Energy Summit' in Abu Dhabi. SOLARBRUSH convinces all

hub:raum Accelerator startup convinces judges and audience and takes it all: with a “fleet of robots fighting against global warming”, Ridha Azais, inventor and founder of SOLARBRUSH, is determined to improve the performance of solar panels and thus make solar energy more efficient. This convinced the jury at the hy!Berlin Startup competition as well and Ridha could take home the prize of EUR 10k in cash and EUR 5k worth in mentoring.

We are proud of SOLARBRUSH and can’t wait for DEMO DAY on January 31, when all the other hub:raum Accelerator teams will rock the stage.

First Cook App with Accelerator alumni appetico in the Apple Store and Google Play

Today hub:raum accelerator alumni appetico announces that the first Cook App created with their publishing software has launched in the App Store and in Google Play. “The Vegan Nom Noms Cook App” was released by the US-Food blogger Nicole Abramowski who is currently living in Berlin, Germany.Appetico is a publishing software which opens up new monetization possibilities for independent authors and publishers of food and drink content.
