Deutsche Telekom aims to become the first choice provider for European customers and partners to easily connect the simple things worldwide. Narrowband Internet of Things (short NB-IoT) has the potential to play a big role within the Internet of Things, since it is designed to connect the many "simple things" around us that send only small amounts of data. NB-IOT is designed to support a large number of devices and can be deployed in the GSM and LTE spectrum. Key features are deep indoor coverage, low cost and long battery life. It opens new business development opportunities across different industries i.e. Agriculture, Automotive and Logistics, Energy and Utilities, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Security, Smart Cities and Smart Homes.
The NB-IoT Prototyping Hub Program creates an industry ecosystem and invites entrepreneurs, startups and grown-ups to build minimum viable products ready to facilitate demonstrations & proof of concept at an early stage of NB-IoT Technology. The program is organized jointly by the M2M Unit of Deutsche Telekom and us, hub:raum. The program ecosystem is connecting NB-IoT solution partners, technology partners, Deutsche Telekom and their customers to build disruptive end-to-end solutions together.
